Galaxy Tab S7+ Text-to-speech / Read Aloud

I have issues with my vision. On my Note10+ I have the Text-to-speech feature turned on and I can have it read the screen on an as-needed basis. I would like to do the same on my tablet. For some reason, the tablet want to read everything on the screen all the time instead of just those things that I want read. Is there any way to control this feature?:'(
