Galaxy Watch controlling music playback

I upgraded to the s10 plus on launch day from the Note 8 and have been having no luck using my 46mm galaxy watch to control music playback. With my Note 8, i could pause, play, skip songs etc using my watch with Google play Music and Pandora, the album art would even show on my watch.

This music was not loaded onto my watch, my watch would just let me control everything.

Since i upgraded i have not been able to accomplish this. I play music on my phone, open the music app on my watch and it doesn't show anything. I have unpaired/repaired, cleared cache, restarted etc. to no avail.

Anyone have a solution?

I wonder if this is a bug? This is the second thread in the last few I have read about this. Try my suggestions, BUT perhaps this is really just a bug.

yup me too. same exact issue. I tried everything stated in that thread with no success
