Galaxy Watch LTE only option is to place outgoing calls via phone over Bluetooth?

[Android Central Question]

Galaxy Watch LTE with eSIM activated on Sprint. I can text without a phone connection, and the mobile data works. But when I try to place an outgoing call via the watch it always prompts to "Connect using Bluetooth?" with icon of the phone and if I click X it cancels the call. If I click the checkmark it just spins on "Connecting...". Has anyone gotten standalone LTE calls to work (eSIM, not T-Mobile)?

To close this out, turns out Sprint doesn't support VoLTE in most markets. No date for rollout, but targeted for 2019.
