Hi all,

I have read a number of threads on here from January and earlier about some users having Heart Rate Monitoring issues with the watch and was wondering if these are resolved by the latest updates since then?

I recently bought a Gear Sport and found that the heart rate was wildly off. I would be sitting at home doing nothing and it would read 130bpm - going up and up by the second. If I changed to Frequent and back to Continuous it then went back down to 70bpm. This happened many times even after exchanging for another Gear Sport. Don't want to make the same mistake with the Galaxy Watch so any feedback welcome before I decide to spend hard earned cash on this.

Any feedback appreciated

Thanks

You can read a lot about the HR monitor performance on this forum. I guess the shortest summary would be that a lot of issues were solved in the most recent firmware, but we're not there yet.
The general idea is that it is a software issue and therefore solvable.

Only have a single meager data point here. But today I was at the doctor's office for my yearly checkup, and as the nurse was manually recording my heart rate I glanced at my watch. Nurse said 63 bpm, Galaxy Watch said 61. Pretty decent agreement!
