Kind of a strange question, but after attending CES this year where we saw ROLLABLE TV's, the question came to mind...

Would you rather see a FOLDABLE display or a ROLLABLE display in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy X? Might be nice to roll the phone up and stick into your pocket? Or not? lol

Sound off!

"Oh, mister Galaxy...is that a rolled-up phone in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

For some reason I think if bend-gate was a thing, the number of cracked phones because they sat or pressed too hard on a rolled-up phone in their pockets would be staggeringly/stupidly high.

I chose neither. I'll stick with regular flat screens. Not even a curved "edge" screen for me.

I'm with Mooncatt - but a flat screen. No more of these curved-edge, improperly-annealed screens that crack when the temperature changes by 10°. (Hey, they lost my money when they went the "Steve Jobs 'no one needs to replace the battery when they can replace the whole phone'" route - so they can replace the screen with a 32" rollable thing you can carry in a backpack for all I care. I buy the next Galaxy - preferably a Note because of my fat fingers - that has a replaceable battery. Right now I'm looking to buy a gently-used Note 4.)

When I think of a rollable screened phone I just picture old point and shoot camera, film cartridges. I see no practical use or benefit to this design in a phone personally. A phone the folds out to double the size of the screen (like a tablet) when required however....

I’d rather have it fold

I’d go with a foldable, I like the various conceptual designs I’ve seen. Only issue would be whether or not a line forms in the center of the display over time when used in tablet mode.

Neither, I've swore off Samsung. Don't like the software or cameras.

Wouldn't wrapping it around your wrist be a better option than your pocket?
