Gallery and tiliting

In the stock gallery app, if you tilt the phone the thumbnails tilt... is that it? Are they supposed to scroll when the phone is tilted (mine don't)? Just curious, because I can't seem to find a reason for this feature.

That's all it does. I think it's an effect added to visually "compensate" for tilting the phone. I don't use the stock gallery, though, since it's slower than a glacier.

The gallery is one of the things I hate about ICS. What are you using instead? Is there a way to flash the gingerbread gallery on ICS?

I use QuickPic. It's much faster and does everything I need...though I'm still on 2.3.7.
