Gallery app

As I said multiple times in this forum, I am on my first Nexus, it is pretty awesome, but I still need a few apps to round out the experience.

I like that Google Photos will stick a copy of everything in Drive.

I don't like everything on my phone being unorganized. On my Note 4 there was a Gallery and it had a Camera folder and a Download folder, etc.

With my Nexus, if I save something from Reddit using Baconreader, it just saves the image in the Camera section, instead of having a separate Baconreader folder.

What app can give me a Gallery like I want, yet still let me autosave stuff in Drive

You might take a look at the HTC Gallery to see if it meets your needs. (I don't actually know how it integrates with Drive since I don't really use the camera much.) I got used to it when I had a One M8, so I've sideloaded it on both of my N6s. That and the HTC Camera.

No unlocking or rooting is required, and as long as you have a file manager installed, the phone does all the work for you. All you have to do is download the APK, allow installation from "Unknown Sources" for the duration of the install, and longpress the APK icon until a do-you-want-to-install-this-thing dialog pops up.

Check out this thread if you're curious about the Gallery APK:

I googled it and found the old Android Central post when it was initially removed. Someone in the comments posted an apk of the Moto Gallery and it worked

Thanks for opening this thread. I have a moto x pure and Nexus 6. Miss some apps from moto. Haley is certainly one of them.

Using quick pic as of now. Will sideload the moto gallery soon.

Gonna stick with the Moto one for now, but if I get bored with it I will switch

My phone started to get a minor lag, so I uninstalled the old Moto Gallery, gonna try and of these other ones

In a very hard headed fashion I tried everything except Quickpic. I eventually tried Quickpic and loved it.
