Gallery on instagram in wrong order

[Android Central Question]

I just got my new phone and transferred over all of my photos. In my gallery they are in the correct order and look exactly as they did on my last phone but when I open Instagram to post to my story the randomness videos and pictures are at the top and it almost seems as if the entire gallery is shuffled and in a random order. Please help, i send photos in chats Alot and now i cant cause of how scattered it all is?

Welcome to Android Central! How did you transfer the photos? It may be that the process of transferring changed the file creation date of all of those photos, and the gallery view that Instagram uses relies on those file creation dates rather than the dates the photos were actually taken.
