Gallery question

Is there a way for you to either lock folders or make private in your gallery? I was using an app called keep safe but it lost everything I had stored

I use es file Explorer, and made a hidden file on my external SD card, and then browse to with es file Explorer. Just name the file .filename with the. right before the file name, and then in setting for es file Explorer use the show or hide hidden files option in the menu.

You'd do this with a folder too ... and hide the whole folder
