I'm trying to delete some screenshots, it keeps telling, failed to.

Anyone had this problem?
Any suggestions?

I rebooted it.

I'm not sure. . I just deleted the album they were in.

What difference would that make?

They should pop up the rubbish bin icon when you tap on the pic.. Not clear what stage yours is calling.
Perhaps create an album, put them in and try to delete from there?

SD cards are prone to corruption or failure, so if the screenshots were being saved to a corrupt SD, they might behave oddly (e.g., not letting you delete them).
