Hello Androidcentral community,

i'm a 33year old unity3D game dev from germany. My main focus at the moment is games for mobile devices (mainly android).
I'm doing everything, except for music, myself. Started developing flash games in 2011 and in 2014 i switched to mobile games. And eventhough, i'm not really successful and almost starving to death, i really love what i do ;)
Hope to find some likeminded people here and share some experience, getting feedback for my games and improving as a dev.

Regard,
David Schaefer

Hi :)

Yes, i have 4 games up on the Google Play store so far. Just released my newest game 'Cuby Creatures' on saturday.
Have a look at my developer page on GP if you like :)

... ok turns out, i can't post any links yet. Tried putting the link in my Mini-Bio but that doesnt seem to work either.
You can search for 'Cuby Creatures' on Google Play. Game should be on first place. Developer name is DaveS

That cuby creatures game feels like a mixture of minecraft and some racing game. Runs pretty smooth. How long do you think it took to make it fully in the end?

Its always good to do what you love to do...

Great to see you've joined... welcome.

Welcome aboard Dave. It so funny how many articles say Android is hard to dev for or how iOS is far more popular and yet I see all the time new devs joining here and posting intro's. Always a positive sign.

It is way easier to get started developing for android, than it is for iOS. However... that leads to the Android App stores beeing more saturated and thus making it way harder to actually get your app/game seen by people and get downloads. Especially when you're on a $0 marketing budget. :-\

Hi,

I'm game developer and using unity3d too. How many game you published on android?

Hi :)
I just published my 4th game on Google Play about a week ago.

Welcome to Android Central. I have to say I am very impressed with your work. I look forward to seeing more of your apps!
Is it less time consuming to work with unity vs native android with a graphics engine? I have just started looking into game engines now and unity itself.
