Games laggy on s8 more than s6

Hello, i have recently bought a galaxy s8 and i have an issue with a game "marvel contest of champions" that being that the game lags a lot and is very hard to play, the real problem is that on my s6 edge the game is more smooth and that shouldn't be the case since the s8 is a better phone.
the phone itself work really well and so does other games but this one really has a problem. Could it be that i used smart switch to transfer all my content to my s8.
Should i give my phone a factory reset or the phone has a problem .
