Games stuttering/ lagging?

Anyone else notice games on the G6 being not as smooth as on other platforms? I came from an iPhone 6+, where nothing even hinted at lagging or stuttering, and now even Candy Crush (I know, I know) sometimes seems to stutter or lag in it's animation, like when pieces fall from the top. I've played this game on my cheap Amazon Fire tablet with no stuttering at all, so I figured this flagship phone would have no issues running it. Not sure if this is normal for Android, or if there are settings I need to change. Anyone?

Do you know how to change animation scale? Try .5 instead of 1. Go to settings..about phone...build number...hit that until it says you're a developer...back out to developer options...and scroll until you find animation scale and the other two with that. Set it to .5

I've had it set to .5 pretty much since I got the phone. I thought that setting was mainly for animations between screens, not inside of apps.

Have you tried either a reboot for the device or a cache clear for Candy Crush?

Clearing the cache definitely made a difference, but I don't think it's 100% stutter free. It's better, for sure.

Is game saver, or whatever it's called, turned on in battery settings?
