Android Central Question

I dont really know how it started but one day after another factory reset i think (I've done it quite a bit of times now) i reinstalled some games i had on the tablet before. However instead of coming up they'd just say " *game name here* has suddenly stopped" and force close or they'd get stuck on the loading screen, never to actually load :/. I downloaded these games from playstore and I've tried a factory reset multiple times to no avail.

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Why have you had to factory reset it so many times -- has it been malfunctioning in general?

What version of Android is it running?

Hi thanks its .. old. Asus Memo Pad FHD 10. It had a problem in playstore way back where it kept stopped working (hasn't done so since thankfully) so I had to reset it and afterwards it was for me trying to fix this problem.

It's running Android version 4.3

It's running Android version 4.3

I think we found part of the problem. That version is 9 years old, some games may simply not have the support they're expecting from your OS version. If Google hasn't dropped API support for 4.3 yet, it's soon to happen. I don't recall if last year's change was for 4.3 to be the minimum or if 4.3 was now below the minimum.

I'm with Hallux. A possible reason they were working before but not now may be due to you having an old version of those games on the tablet that were compatible at that time. When the developer updated the games, the Play store would've seen your device as no longer being compatible and not offer you the update. When you reset the tablet and those games were uninstalled, now when you go to the Play store, you see the most recent versions of those games.

If you really liked those games, you could try contacting the developers and see if they have any legacy versions available for you to install. Otherwise you may have to look for alternate games that do run, or upgrade to a more current tablet.
