Thinking of switching from my iPhone 6s to a Pixel 2 so I can use Waze in my new car with Android Auto.
I've been looking for an answer to a question I have about migrating my music from iTunes to a new Android phone. It's about gapless playback of some of my playlists.
I've used professional radio station software over the years to create some of my playlists. I mix in some of my jingle collection to countdowns from specific years for example.
When I uploaded a test playlist to Google Play Music, my playlist plays with a gap between songs destroying my homemade mix.
Because this is important enough for me to be a deal breaker - is there a way of using a Pixel 2 to preserve my mix? And I'm not talking about using a player's crossfade function - I want it to preserve my mix with the same timing I created for the mix.
Another way to ask this is will it preserve a live album, or side two of Abby Road, for example - where all of the songs mix together.
Can that be done with Android like it's done perfectly with iTunes?
