Ok gb has been out for a little bit and i have one quick question. In daily use how much does the garbage collector help? Does it eliminate the little lags here and their or decrease them to a usable point? This has been my main beef against android for a while and I'm just curious to see if gb gets rid of this issue
well it was more than. One question

I have GB installed on a few devices.. I've seen a noticible improvement on my Droid 1.. less lags, quicker response..

Is gb avail for 2.2.1?

I'm confused by what you're asking. GB = Gingerbread, it's the next version of Android after FroYo, which is 2.2.1

Gingerbread is version 2.3+

Are you asking if GB is available for a specific device?

Well that's very good to hear I remember loading froyo on my d1 it both sped and slowed down my device but since you said it gets rid of some of the lag I'm happy

all versions of Android have garbage collecting.. this is what is slowing your device down because it's logging and collecting data about everything you do. It's usually just junk data(or garbage) and in Gingerbread, it does much less of it, so there's more cpu cycles for other things.. giving it the appearance it's faster.
