GB keyboard 2.3 app NOT auto correcting

okay so I had the inspire b4 and LOVED the keyboard. The infuse was NOT my fav. So i DL the closest I could find GINGERBREAD KEYBOARD 2.3 PAID APP. At first it was pretty much right on and I would push the space bar and the highlighted word (first one on row) would be input. NOW it does NOT auto correct. If it does I have to push on the correct word instead on push space bar. The settings r the same plz help. I text all day and this is just crazy.
