GBCoid and gameboid not working!!

I know this is user error but im trying to get pokemon yellow to work on my evo and fail! Could somebody list out the steps to do this properly please. I added the gba_bios.bin file and games into one folder but nothing. I know thats for gameboy advance but either way help would be appreciated.

maybe its a bad rom? have you tried any other games to see if they work?

Thanks for the quick response. I have tried a couple other games on that emulator and nothing. Do I even need to worry about a bais file or whatever with gbcoid? The only reason I want to get pokemon to work is because I can't play any other games by using just the touch screen. I figure that game should be a piece of cake. Do you have it gbcoid? If so what steps did you take in setting it up?
