Gear 2 charging question

Hello,
I haven't been able to find an answer and wanted to check here. Can you charge the Gear 2 on the cradle via a USB cable to your PC or Laptop?

yes, but whenever charging ANYTHING via USB from a laptop, the charging rate will be lower than most other methods (other than my Camry, which has a dreadfully slow charging rate also )

The charger that comes with the Gear 2 is pretty low amperage so it will charge almost as fast with USB from your computer.

In principle you are right about the current, but the Gear charger supplies 4.75v and USB is around 5v. Does this difference posts a problem?
