gear 2 neo not charging

Hi everyone super helpful forum, for the last two to three months my gear 2 neo has been acting up when it comes to charging. Initially it would just take a few times putting the watch on and off the charger until the bolt came on. The last couple of times i would have to restart the watch while on the cradle for the watch to begin charging. Lately the newest thing is the watch will only charge with the watch band off. Now with the band the watch will only charge when it feels like it. I've tried using a soft brush on the back, a pencil eraser and a little contact cleaner. I cant tell but i think the contacts on the back may be fouled? If this is the case i cant imagine a design flaw like this.
I'm very disappointed with samsung that something so expensive would break down so soon.

Have you tried a reboot? Hold down the power button key for like a minute and it should reboot. Mine started to do that and this trick fixed it.
