Gear S on AT&T fails to forward calls

For the past week, my relatively new Gear S will not auto forward my Note 5 calls to my watch while I'm away from my phone. I tried restarting my watch but it won't auto forward. I know it worked initially for the first few weeks. Does anyone know how to get it working again?

Make sure your phone has sufficient signal. The forwarding operation has to be done on the phone. The watch just tells it to start or stop forwarding. Then, there is whole mess of Note 4 failed to make forwarding due to incompatibility. Not sure if it affects Note 5.
