Anyone currently using the Gear S and planning to make a switch? If so, why?

I plan to make the switch because I almost never wear my Gear S. It's just too bulky and I don't think there was ever one good-looking watch face that became available on that platform compared to Android Wear or even Apple watch and I own each of those.

I have had my Gear S for almost 2 years. Love it but I am ready for the new look, didn't like the S2 thought it was too small. I definitely got my moneys worth out of my S. Fitness tracking, notifications and replying, call forwarding (I actually would leave my phone at home). Looking forward to the S3 as long as it isn't over 500.00. My gadget budget was pretty raped when I purchased the Note 7. :)

Same here. S2 was too damn small. Been rocking the gear s for almost 2 years as well... I hate the charger.

S1 owner for almost 2 years and thinking of an S3 but I'll have to see if I can live with the smaller display than the 1 and especially if I can use the apps I use daily on the rectangular one on a circular version, which many don't work on the S2

I'm with you on that one. I really need to see this in person.

I have the first Gear and really like it. But since May, I have being using my Gear S2 LTE a lot more.
The S2 was a birthday gift from a couple of friends.
I really love both watches and I understand those talking about the size of the Gear S2.
The new Gear S3 Frontier looks great on video and pictures, but I'm afraid I won't be able to afford it.

Wow you couldn't have said it any better! I love my gear S but it is time to move on. If the S2 was bigger I probably would have gotten one (the classic) . I think the Frontier is going to be an awesome watch, I can't wait.

Never thought I could go to the S2 after my love affair with my S.
But, got the Silver with a stainless band and have fallen in love all over again.
The S2 is more responsive and I don't play with the screen much so the size is no problem.
I will probably go for the S3, but could not pass up the $50 deal on the S2 and happy I didn't.
