Gear S3 Frontier - Call Forwarding

Just picked up a Verizon Gear S3 Frontier and paired it with my phone. Question - when I shut off the phone, and test call to the phone, the watch does not get the call. I can't find settings for Auto Call Forwarding:(
 
That would be on the phone and most phones carriers don't set the forwarding at the office, but in the phone - so if the phone's off, there's no forwarding. (You can get an account for the watch, and a Google Voice number. Then set the GV number to forward to both the phone and the watch. But Verizon probably won't give the watch a free account.)
 
I'll check on it. I've had the Gear S3 before and if the phone inadvertently gets shut off as if maybe the battery runs down, calls do go to the watch.

I think I'm good here. Ususally I don't shut the phone down but do like to occasionally go out without it if I'm walking dogs, or something similar.
