Gear S3 Frontier Dead

Made it one week past it's 12 month warranty when the battery started draining within minutes. I applied the update and now it won't even turn on. It gets to the logo screen and shuts down. I've tried the recovery option without any luck. This watch has proved to be all but useless to me when it worked and now just represents a pitiful waste of money which is what I'll report to anyone asking advice on buying a smart watch. One year I get from this POS...my Omega Speedmaster Pro has been ticking for 46 years. Never again.
 
Wow. The Tab 3 battery issues, the Note 8 battery issue with the battery being DOA when hitting zero and now this.

I have the Gear S3. I like the watch, but was it worth $325? Hell no! I mainly use it for answering calls and I use it for when I'm running since the GPS on it is a lot more accurate than my GEar S2 which was even more of a POS.

I don't hate the watch but it should only cost $150 max IMO for what these things do.

Smart watches in general are way over priced and mostly a gimmick.
 
The watch is pretty pricey I'll admit. I event had issues with mine, then again I've only had it a month or two. Hoping I don't run into the battery issue. So far it's been great for me.
 
Absolutely love Frontier LTE. Only issue required factory reset when battery draining (and not after an update). Respect that others might have had different experience.
 
Sorry to hear your troubles. Your experience is in the minority. What did Samsung troubleshoot with you when you contacted them?
