Gear S3 Frontier issues

Hello all!
I just started having an issue with my S3 Frontier watch. Whenever I answer an incoming call with my phone, the call goes to the watch. I then have to hit the "switch to phone" button on the watch to use my phone for the call. How can I fix this?

Open the Phone app
Click the 3 dot menu in upper right
Click settings
Click "Answering and ending calls"
Make sure that "Automatic answering" is turned off.
 
Thank you for the tip but it was already turned off. Just to clarify, I can make and answer calls from the watch just fine. I just don't want the phone call to go to the watch when I answer using the phone. Even if I pick up my phone and dial a call, when I push send, I then have to either go to the watch and click "switch over to phone" or push the bluetooth button on the call screen. I did not have to do any of this the first two weeks I had the watch.
 
I wonder if you have some third party app causing this to happen.

On your watch, go to 'Recent apps' and kill all of them.
Trying booting your phone in safe mode to see if it happens.
 
Ok. I tried this and it was not letting the watch connect to the phone in safe mode. Thank you for the help! I need to fix it.
