Will the Gear Vr work with the V20 I got it free from Samsung along with the Gear Fit2

As far as Gear VR features, no. It might works as a generic VR set if you remove the USB adapter. Maybe, but think the V20 is too wide and long to fit.

I saw an article that said the original VR could work with limited functionality and possibly fit adjustments on other phones. Basically it said the VR would be like a glorified Google Cardboard.
