Hey guys, at the moment I am in a discussion with the ASUS support about a possible bug with the audio assistant. Unfortunately they show no effort to check and maybe confirm the problem and only tell me that no one else has reported the problem and I could send in my device...
Long story short, it would be helpful to tell me what happens when you test the following: open the audio assistant, enable it if not already done, select music and go to the advanced settings. Go into the tab EQ and raise the 4k and 8k frequency band to the max. Now play some audio and check if the effect (will be VERY shrill ) is applied to both speakers. In my case all effects (no matter what I adjust), are only applied to the upper speaker while the lower speaker plays the audio all the time like the audio assistant is disabled.
Even more: if you search for a left-right-audio test in YouTube and set the EQ settings to -12 for all frequencies, the left audio will be only played in the lower speaker which is also used for the right audio. So suddenly the upper speaker is like dead.
Would be really great to get some feedback if others can confirm this problem so I can show this to ASUS.
