Hi I'm a complete noob so please be gentle.Just upgraded my phone to an s6 I had a s3mini on o2 payg before.Found an s6 2nd hand in a shop it was on ee and I wanted it on o2.So asked my local market stall if he could unlock the phone to o2 so I could pop in my old o2 sim.He took the phone and I paid then when I got it back it was unlocked to o2 great I thought.

It's on marshmallow so I tried to manually update to nougat .I get a message saying it can't.

The battery drains like crazy up to 30% an hour in ultra power save mode.

The fast charging feature won't work.

I have to put the wi find password in every time I connect to wifi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Carrier-specific phones need to be on that original carrier's network in order to get official system updates. You could consider getting a prepaid SIM from ee to get back on their network long enough to install the update.

For battery issues, charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:
1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Is the wi-fi password for your home network, or some other network? Is it a password you have to enter as soon as you select the network, or do you first see a login website that asks for a password?
