General Question about External Battery Pack

I have an external battery pack in case I need to charge my phone. I noticed the charge is super slow much like trying to charge the phone via USB on a computer. I have seen some information on "charge only" cords that should make them charge faster...but do they actual work? If so any suggestions on a quality one?

Not too sure about charge only cord but I think different battery packs have different amp output. Your charging speed will vary based on that. What kind of battery pack do you have?

The original AC charger is also 1A so in theory 1A should work. Before you spend the money to buy a 2A battery pack I would try using a different cable (if possible a shorter cable).

Well I was hoping for some solution that wasn't buying a new battery pack. I'm assuming the cord and pack aren't communicating properly

I have an Anker Astro External Battery, and it charges my phone in 2 hours. It shows the charging speed in mA per hour and my case its says 1000.
