I have one of those carbon fiber looking snap on case from vzw but I find it makes pressing the buttons a tad difficult and even the screen edges.

Is this case (pun intended ;) ) for all DX cases. I'm tempted to go naked and also not have a case on my phone :p

Seriously given the the size of the phone and button placement the case will all DX cases exhibit this behavior, i.e., buttons too recessed when a case is involved.

I picked up one of the glossy looking silicone cases from a VZW kiosk at a nearby mall. It's a thicker material than the usual rubbery cases. I really like this case, as it doesn't interfere with any of the buttons at all. I will admit that it makes the camera button a bit harder to press, but it made the volume rocker more easy to use. Its a Verizon branded accessory, and should be available from any retail location. Unless you have your heart set on a hard case, i would look into this one.

I second navarro77's comments. I just got one of those and really like it. Makes for a good feel (smooth, not sticky) and keeps the slim profile pretty well. Not clunky as in the carbon fiber plastic case you refer to (I had that one at first, too). Offers a sense of protection in that there's a cushiony layer around the vital points - corners, back, screen.

Also, there is a similar case to the one Verizon offers that has an argyle pattern inside the semi-clear, smoke-colored case. Runs about the same cost, but I found it online for $15. Plus shipping, it broke even with the $20 from Verizon's kiosk.

PS - the Verizon one apparently comes in colors now. I snagged a transparent blue - only one there. The rest were transparent black (ie: dark gray)
