Generic Video Doorbell App?

Hi all, we bought a doorbell recently; we plumped for the generic type, as opposed to the much pricier main brands like Ring, Nest etc. I am very impressed with the hardware, fantastic picture, geat audio etc, etc. It is bundled with the UBell app. This works great on our son's IOS phone, but much worse on my wife's and my Android phones. Having now read the reviews of UBell, this seems to be a common experience. Particularly, very long delays before any notification on the phone (sometimes many minutes ) I'd like to try a different app, but each one I find seems to be locked to specific hardware. Does anyone know of a good generic app?

Regarding the hardware: the brand from the eBay listing is "Airnigi", but the packaging just calls it "Smart Home Video Door Bell". However, while searching for more info on the internet, I also found it branded "AUNEX.

As I say, the device seems very well-engineered, and as it works great on IOS, logic points to it being let down by the bundled app not working with Android.

Unless the specific brand you have is either super crappy and is a IP webcam with no security, there is no 'generic' app for this. The only way that you could use a different app than the official one is if the hardware you have supports being added to a 3rd party service like Google or Amazon's assistants and use it from there.
