Genuine Samsung charger without the genuine Samsung price?

After upgrading to a Galaxy S4 phone, I tried its charger on my dead Tab 3 7.0 that no USB charger I have could get to wake up and suckle the electron flow.

Surprise! After showing the 0 battery icon for a bit it changed to the charging indicator. So I got on eBay and carefully examined all the text on my S4's charger and after bypassing several that didn't match, paid the $7.95 for one that looked like a perfect duplicate.

Got it today and, nuthin. Won't charge the Tab 3. Tried it on my phone and it worked for a bit then quit. Tried different cables and devices, completely defekt COUNTERFEIT charger. Yup, the genuine Samsung charger will still drag the Tab 3 back to life from a completely dead battery. (That the Tab 3 will rapidly discharge its new battery in less than a day or night even when turned off is another issue altogether.)

The fake weighs less than the real one, 35.7 grams VS 36.3 grams. (Weighed on an expensive digital scale.) The cable that came with the fake is much shorter and lacks the two bumps on one side of the micro USB connector.

Anyone know of a reputable seller with REAL Samsung chargers? $59.99 or even $29.99 on sale from Samsung is just a silly price, especially when I bought the tablet used for less than that.

Or if not an actual, genuine, assembled by Samsung employees or robots charger, is there a 3rd party one known to be able to kick out a full, no sag or droop or drop two amps?

Sounds weird, but if your battery is dying quickly and charging extremely slowly would lead me to believe that your device has a bad/defective battery. Did you get it recently?

I didn't get a charger with it. It wouldn't charge from any wall charger I have but would charge very slowly from a computer USB port. Quite odd since that's only half an amp. Once I got it to start charging it would also slowly charge off my Photon Q's charger, but when unplugged would rapidly discharge. Then it dropped to nothing and wouldn't charge at all.

So I got a new battery, one of the lower priced ones on eBay 'cause $50 for a "genuine OEM", which who knows if it really is. 'Tis actually on its second new battery, the first replacement seemed to work then one night it ran down and it wouldn't charge.

I can charge it quickly with the Galaxy S4 charger and it will run for a few hours, which is tolerably usable, but I want to have a charger just for the tablet so it won't be dead or nearly dead in the mornings. I've seen postings on various fora from other Tab 3 7.0 owners with similar difficulties getting theirs to charge and having poor battery life. Hopefully it's software correctable and Samsung will cure it with the Lollipop update, if this model ever gets it.

Very weird. When did you get the tablet?
