"Get more HTC widgets" not working.

Got a CLNR device the other day & have it almost all set up, but I use the HTC Battery widget and cant "Get more HTC widgets. I get a message reading "Unable to download widgets. Tap to try again.". I can tap all day & this is what I get. Any ideas??

Start with Factory Reset. I'm assuming you aren't rooted or running one of the leaked RUUs.

My brother just received a new Thunderbolt last week, and his phone has the exact same problem. It is 100% stock straight out of the box.

Ok then it might not have MR2 on it. Settings/Software Update/Check for Update. From my emails with VZW/Goolge/HTC if the phone isn't running the "Approved Software" issues like this happen. They all point the fingers at the other two. So, the question is are they still shipping pre-MR1, MR1, or MR2 from factory. If it isn't MR2 (The current Approved) it could be causing this issue.

Im having this same issue, I received my TB this past saturday and am currently up to date (as far as i know, im not sure how to check if it's MR1 or 2 ?). I am still having this same problem, Get more HTC widgets/ unable to download widgets/ tap to try again/ Same message appears.
T-Bolt is completely stock.
When i check the status this is what comes up.

You have MR2. You should be good. I wonder if HTC has updated their widget servers to the as of yet unreleased OTA version number.

There were lots of HTC widgets available for download during MR1 and MR2. Had to d/l the ones I liked after each Factory Reset. Running an unofficial RUU I wasn't surprised I couldn't access the additional widgets from HTC. Why stock MR2 Froyo users are now blocked.

I had the same issue when I got the Gingerbread RUU leak, but fortunately I had backed up my apps before doing so. I have pulled the .apk file for the HTC Battery Widget and posted it on Megaupload. Head over to the link and download the .apk and install it on your device. Enjoy.

So does this mean that there is no way to get the additional HTC widgets?
Can they be downloaded for the HTC site?

I spoke with a support rep from HTC this morning and this is a Known issue. HTC is working on restoring the service. No ETA was given

They've been having this issue for a month or more.. got 2 TBs one can access it just fine and the other can't access it at all both are stock.. go figure. lol
