In developer options, there is this beauty of an option.

Increase the dpi and you get more information on screen. I found around 423 was a usable limit.
Also, if you want larger fonts, you can do it this way by reducing the dpi.

As far as I know, this is only available in the EMUI 5 beta builds. Not in the current EMUI 4.1.
