Watch your bill for a way to get out of Sprint contract for free to you want to. This ONLY applies to people on an employer discount program through your work.
Sprint has applied the discount to the your plan and additional lines. For example if you are like me and have 27% through your employer you were getting 27 off your plan and 27 off the each $19.99 additional line charger, well starting this month Sprint decided to silently change a policy to and never notify customers until you get your bill and notice it is higher than normal. Sprint's new policy is that the discount now ONLY applies to your base plan and additional lines are not billed at full 19.99 value. Reasoning I was giving by account services, "Our competitors Verizon and ATT do this so we feel it is a way for us to bring in more money and follow in line."
I told account services that if you look at my past bills it was there now it is gone therefore the terms were changed and I need all 10 contracts lifted so when I start shopping around there will be no ETFs billed if I change companies. Account Services told me that the discount ONLY has ever applied to the base plan and that the additional line discounts were only applied to customers as a gift therefore terms were not changed so you are still bound by your contract. I advised account services NO if you look at my past bills they were there then they left so that is a change in terms cause it has been there since my first bill therefore the contracts are now voided and shall be lifted.
Placed on silent hold for 15 minutes. I am sorry sir you are correct terms have changed and your 10 lines are now out of contract we are so sorry for this but just so you know we are still the cheapest around and hope you will stay. I said I will do my shopping and you will know if I found a better deal or not when my account has zero lines.
So if you have an employer discount WATCH your bill and look at months prior if you are wanting your contract out with no ETF. I have 2 accounts with Sprint one with 10 lines that lost it thus got me out of 10 contracts and 1 account with 5 lines that is all there with discounts across the board.
So if you choose to stay and one month your bill is a little higher that is why a silent hope you don't notice policy put into effect and NO they will not apply it back "our system will not let us, its not that easy" What happened to the days when cell phone providers did the right thing and grandfathers in existing accounts and put the new customers on this new policy. They might see a decrease in canceled lines, but with Sprint a decrease in canceled lines might scare them. LOL Just my 2 cents worth.
And NO NO I am not a Sprint trasher. I have been with them for over 5 years and have had nothing but excellent results with them and out standing customer service and do not want to leave but if I can pay less somewhere else then its time to port. It is silent secret policy changes that they hope customers will not notice that bothers me, which is why I left my job with US Cellular back in the day when they began teaching us to lie to the customer and word it very nicely that the data chargers they had to pay it is the customers fault not use when they HAD a data block on their line. Excuse me that is why I walked a data block is just that a block how can you legally bill people for data when they have a block and can not access it.
