Get rid of a contact's Samsung pic

I have an S8+ and my wife has an S8.

In my Google contacts, I have a nice picture of her stored. However, she evidently created a new image in her Samsung profile (why do we need a Samsung profile?) and now my phone replaced the nice picture I have with a goofy one of her with bunny ears and whatnot.

It shows almost everywhere I see her contact - the contacts app, the Verizon Message+ app, phone app, etc. However, if I edit her contact, it now shows the image I have set, the one that I want,. There's no way to get rid of the stupid bunny. I really don't care if she wants to use that pic everywhere, I want the image I chose back on my phone.

How can I make my phone show the image shown in my contacts?

Just turn off profile sharing in the Contacts app. Contacts app, menu button, Settings, flip that switch off. the way things are going, though, that service is going the way of the dodo soon like Samsung Stories did this year.

Excellent, that did it.

As far as I'm concerned it and all the Samsung bloat can go away. This is a great phone let down by the over the top Samsung nonsense installed on it.

So root, remove the bloat and install the apps you prefer. It's not like there aren't thousands of choices (far too many, if you ask me).

I happened to like most of the Samsung apps over the google ones. They add more functionality for me but to each their own.

Some services do seem to be quite useless or bad copies of something else, but if you got a Samsung phone, most of their 'bloatware' is actually not that bad. Even Bixby, If you take the time to tame it, isn't too horrible (just Google is miles ahead on that).

Samsung profile is uses mostly for Samsung services like S Health friends, or Enhanced Messages.
