If lg keeps the 2nd screen adds led and a stylus. I would definitely stay with the next gen v series.
Evan Blass didn't get his reputation by making guesses. He has very well placed sources. He's just make guesses so that if it happens he's the tech soothsayer. I love the second screen use it all the time
This is true for times when the screen is off, but there's still all the other functions the second screen offers with the screen on that can't be replicated on a single screen without either cutting off part of the display or a floating window that blocks parts of the display. Even if they do go to AMOLED displays, I hope the secondary screen remains.Does he not even know the V30 will have an AMOLED screen? That's why it won't have a separate LCD screen. It won't need one because the AMOLED screen can just use the pixels at the top. With LCD, you can't do that. I'm sure the phone will also let you move the ticker to the bottom.

My main point was that the secondary screen has a purpose regardless of the display technology. They are definitely moving to AMOLED. There was a news article a few weeks ago out of South Korea, that described how they wanted the new G6 to have AMOLED, but their current manufacturing is at capacity for wristwatch screens they make for other companies, and the TV side was also at capacity. So it said they were pushing their AMOLED screens for smartphones to the second half of 2017. Which lines up for the V30.
