Hey Guys,
I just bought my Optimus V and I had a few really good options for which place to buy it from. I eventually chose RadioShack, a desesion I regret. But if you want a good deal, here a a few good places to try:

$129.99 NEW at Amazon: Amazon.com: LG Optimus Prepaid Android Phone (Virgin Mobile): Cell Phones & Accessories

$140 NEW at Radio Shack: LG Optimus V for Virgin Mobile : Cell phones | RadioShack.com

In order to get this deal sign up for their email newsletter and you will get a $10 off coupon emailed to you.

Prices Vary NEW at eBay: lg optimus v | eBay

Also, search your local Craigslist, you may find a great deal.

Feel free to post any better deals you may find below:)

I got mine yesterday on Craigslist for $75. Yes it was used, but the tiny scuffs etc really aren't objectionable. It didn't have the charger (woo-pee, I've got microUSB chargers flowing out of my ears) but it did have the 2G microSD card and an otter-box. Initially the phone was tied to their account (although it was active & they would've let me assume it), but I got VM customer service on the phone for them & they fully released the phone's ESN, and I was able to put it on my own account myself once I was home.

$75--with the otter-box and 2G microSD card. Now THAT is a freaking deal!

No, not a "bad" ESN. It was linked to their account (they used "refill" cards) but I got the ESN, the sellers gave me the account PIN & I gave all of it to VM "on the scene" before buying--and VM accepted it and released it to my full control. It's on my account now free & clear.

curious, why do you regret buying from Radio Shack? I brought mine from Radio Shack, I would rather not buy from there again. Dude kept asking questions about my then current service with Sprint and then when I finally got him to understand my mind was made up about leaving Sprint then he insisted on activating the phone in store for me. Told me he couldnt sell it to me unactivated.

that's funny. I bought mine from radio shack last month when they had it on sale for 150 dollars (before the price drop). the cashier gave me the option to have it activated at the register or I could do it myself. it's too bad I missed out on some of the deals that are popping up now, but it's been my primary web browser for the past month. I'm getting good use out of it.

I got one for my mother on Friday off of Craigslist for $120. Guy got it as a warranty replacement for for his Intercept (which he says is a POS phone) but he then switched to Sprint to get a free EVO. So $120 and the phone had never been used (still had the plastic stickers on it).

Unfortunately I couldn't buy on online since my parents were leaving on vacation the next day and needed a device that could do email and at as a MiFi.

I think Best Buy has a good deal right now. $149.99 and you get a free $25 VM card. It's in-store only and is good through tomorrow.

I saw that too luckily it's in their regular ad not their 2 day sale so the deal is good through Saturday.

I almost picked my Optimus V up from the local Radio Shack because I didn't want to wait for my phone to come in the mail from Virgin Mobile. When I went in, I asked if they offered the same 1-year warranty as Virgin. Nope! Only 30 days for the Radio Shack warranty. Needless to say, I ended up waiting for it to come in the mail.

I got my V from Amazon. $129. Free shipping and no tax. It came in 3 days from across the country so I was very pleased.

He is lying. I put up with some of that s*?t for about 2 seconds. Then went across the street and bought it at Target for same price with a $20 gift card. Then came back and waved it in that f'rs face and told him if he ever lied again I would kill him.

I went into Best Buy to pick up this phone early this week on the 4th....they didn't have the phone in stock so I ended up looking online and found this deal. Also picked up a much nicer case than what Best Buy offers.

Thankfully Amazon has yet to follow California's new law requiring them to collect taxes from all orders placed from California so I got $30 off plus the tax savings. Good deal!

They were also very fast, the case on the other hand.....somehow it takes 2 days to get 60 miles to my house from LA :-\

Yeah they said the same thing about needing to activate it to me. It was terrible. Finally she told me that she would just sell me a $25 airtime card, which was good enough for me. She WOULD NOT accept my $10 off coupon, saying "its not for phones", I was like...um it never says you can't use the coupon for phones....read the freaking fine print.

terrible experience...they deserve to go out of business.
