Getting a read notification without having to check for blue ticks

[Android Central Question]

Hi all

Can you set whatsapp to tell you when a message from you to someone is read without having to check for blue ticks, please? Like it does when a message comes in?

In other words, can you get it to proactively tell you when a particular person opens your messages (or when one particular message is opened) without you having to obsessively look for the blue ticks every 5 minutes !
