getting a refurb nook soon should i upgrade to 1.4?

im wondering if i upgrade to 1.4 can i still boot off the sd card . i bought an sd card with the 6.3 Phiremod on it. i also have bland 4gb card i will prob put cm7 on. will it matter if I upgrade to 1.4? what is the better system 6.3 phiremod or cm7 or are both good? thanks

Yes you can still boot off SD card when running 1.4 on internal.
