Android Central Question

Hi,

I am trying to access a video so that I can trim it but I'm really struggling.

The video wasn't originally on my phone, it was on Google Photos and I managed to transfer it from there to my phone where I can see it in My Files > Internal Storage > DCIM > Camera but it is not in my Gallery. I can't access the file from my video editor app, how can I move it to my Gallery so that I can?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Which video editor are you using, and what video format is the file in? Does the video have to be accessible in the stock Gallery app, or can you search your file directories using the video editor?

If it has to be visible in the Gallery app, try going to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, then select Gallery, Storage, and then Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now open Gallery again and give it a few seconds to rebuild the database. Does the video show up now?
