Getting a Warranty Replacement - Anyone else have/had this issue?

So last night I was mucking around and noticed that the pages weren't turning in Aldiko (or whatever the book app is called). I tried to turn down the volume outside of that app, no dice. I could turn it up, and sorta get it to turn down if I jam the button, but nada.

Woke up this morning and the entire volume rocker was dead. I thought it was moisture related, but alas, the moisture thing was fine and I'm getting a replacement in 1-2 days.

Couple questions:

(1) Anyone else have that issue with the rocker?

(2) Do we keep our old SIM card? Does it come with a new one?

no issues like that...only time i noticed a volume rocker issue was when using clockwork recovery...it would kind of stick and jump a few extra lines in the menu. but it registered the presses every time.

sounds like you did the right thing and its not something widely spread.

as for the SIM, yes, just pop it into the new phone and you should be good to go. make sure you delete everything on your old phone though. internal storage and all.

I presume it's deleted, I relocked/rerooted it. That--theoretically--wipes all, right?

Yeah I don't believe it's widespread either. Also, FYI--apparently most of the like-new devices are actually new devices, because they don't have enough to refurb. Makes you wonder...

Was it rom related? I noticed that I was having trouble with the headset jack thinking it was unplugged every second or two (PTSD from my OG days might have kicked in) but flashing a different rom seems to have helped.

Nope. Did it with BAMF, CM9 nightlies, and then back to stock. I was hoping it was, but once re-locked and re-rooted, my fears were confirmed.
