Just got off the phone w/ tech support and they are sending me a new X along with a new battery. I got a new one about 3 weeks ago after my last one's camera was not working and had a large spot in all the pictures. Now this one is not taking a charge. When I plug it into the car charger and turn on anything other that just leaving the phone in standby (such as navigation or pandora) it will charge for about 3 minutes and then will stop charging. My battery left widget states that it's in 'usb mode'. In the past week it has started doing the same thing on the home charger. Last night my phone was down about 15% at about 11pm so I plugged it in, it showed charging, then walked out of the room for a few minutes. Came back and it was dead and showing on the screen a loader type screen that said battery was too low to run. Unplugged and plugged back in several times only to get a green blinking light. Would try and start turning the phone on and would get the M icon, then the droid icon, and then it would die again. After googling this I have found that it is too common. So Verizon is sending me both a new phone as well as a brand new battery, Hope this fixes the issue.

I hope so too. Hang in there. I have been where you are with other phones and I know it can be frustrating exchanging phones all the time. But the Droid X is worth it.

Sorry to hear about your luck. Hopefully you won't have any issues with your next replacement. I had a replacement early on and haven't had any issues since.
