Getting back 2014 high quality voices on Google text to speech engine

Hi there,

I generally do dislike the new available TTS voices, as in my opinion, especially the 2014 UK male TTS voice is way superior to them.

I could find this voice installed on my old OnePlus One with a 4.4.4 Stock Rom, the Google text-to-speech Engine App (com.google.android.tts - v3.1.3.1162895) was still installed, the UK male high-quality voice was still available to download (97 MB) in that version.

I could not manage to backup and restore this system app to my current Nougat OnePlus One phone using Titanium Backup of course, does anyone have any idea?

Have you tried Apk Extractor?

Or a non-Google TTS engine? (Ivona costs a bit [99 cents US], but their female English voice was pretty good back when I was using it.)
