Getting more stressed each day!

Well, it has now been a week since we ordered our two Nexus 7's from the Google Store, (Canada) and we have yet to receive them. Also, I have now sent a total of five messages to Google Canada regarding my concerns about possibly getting forced to pay extra duty/brokerage, (Canadians usually must pay brokerage fees at the door when receiving UPS shipments from the USA) which have been completely ignored! Is there absolutely no one in charge of customer service at all? How is it that they do not feel it at all necessary to reply to customer's questions/concerns? I'm completely dumbstruck that this company chooses to carry on in this manner.

And as if we are not stressed out enough about our missing tablets, total lack of communication, and possibly having to pay extra UPS brokerage fees, now we're getting worried about all this screen separation talk. Does anyone know whether this still continues to be an issue? Or are we seeing signs that things are improving? Can we expect to still see this lifting screen nonsense on our tablets purchased the first week of September?

My daughter and I were so excited about the launch of this new tablet, and were ecstatic to finally have ordered one each, yet to date all we have to show for our efforts is a ton of stress. I'm hoping to hear back from some Canadians who have ordered their tablets from Google Play; to hear if you did, or did not, have to pay the dreaded "brokerage fees". As it is, we have paid over $300 each for our tablets! SURELY we would not be forced to pay more at the door!?!?

You will not have to pay duty even though they ship from the US (Google takes care of it since they are sold by Google _Canada_). At least, I did not have to on mine and I have not heard that anyone else has...

I just bought 2- 8GB versions and they arrived in less than 48 hours, but that's in the. U.S. I am a tech geek and I can assure you that both units are perfect and we have not had any issues whatsoever. On another note, I called their customer service number to check on an order for a GNex because there was no shipping info after 24hrs. I was on hold for no more than 30 seconds when a nice person picked up and answered my question. The phone arrived the following day, 36 hours after it was ordered. We couldn't be more pleased with their service and products and no, I don't work for Google. I hate that you are having problems, but I really believe you will enjoy the N7.

Second this, I bought the 16GB and received it in 2 days (US). Sorry to hear about your waiting game, but you wont be disappointed! I am actually still waiting on my treegloo case which purchased over a week ago, haven't even received an email from them.

Wow, thanks Mr_Nobody and others, for helping to put our minds at ease; very much appreciated! I'm sure everything will be fine in the end; it's just going to take awhile to get our two N7's, particularly now that we are in the midst of Hurricane Leslie, meaning all the ferries are out of service, and thus are unable to delivery anything from the mainland.

Thanks again,
Glen

Google informed me yesterday of a bug in their system that is preventing N7's from shipping out from late August-early September with no projections of resolution. Your order may be in the batch :(
