OK so I am running Clean ROM and I cannot get swype to work. I am a beta member and I downloaded the installer and installed it with know errors. It is turned on in the settings but for some reason it wont launch it when it comes time to type it still goes to the android keyboard. This is my second ltevo and on the first one I ran clean rom also and swype worked fine. I dont remember doing anything special to make it work either. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Also for those who don't know clean ROM takes away that icon in the status bar to switch keyboards.

Does Clean not include Swype by default like stock? There is an option in the regular/standard HTC input settings called Trace Keyboard that basically turns it into Swype when toggled on...I prefer using that over the actual Swype because I like the layout of the standard keyboard better.

Yea, unfortunately, Swype is disabled in CleanROM. I installed the beta and had no issues, so far, with it.

As far as there being no switch icon in the status bar, that's a big problem for some people because ICS no longer lets you switch IMEs by long-pressing... I asked the developer about this, so hopefully that gets addressed in the next ROM update.

Anyway, after long searching, I found a widget called "Switch Keys" which lets you switch keys, but you have to be on a homescreen to use it, obviously. Won't work while your cursor is blinking on a field inside an app, when you need it. However, the icon is pretty ugly, and since you can't easily change widget icons, I had to find an app to do the same thing ("Keyboard Switcher" by Jared's Coding Shack). It costs 0.99, but is worth it for me as it lets me change the shortcut icon :/

Ok that switch key widget worked I just switched to Swype and then deleted the widget. Works perfect now.
