Been waiting a month for Best Buy to get the Verizon V20 (better deal than Verizon). In the meantime updated my N4 with the MM update, reset to stock and bought a new battery. Best Buy still does not have the Verizon V20 and during the wait, realized the Note 4 rocks with MM and a new battery. Not seeing a big need for the V20 now- hence did not mind waiting.
Best Buy though has a killer deal on the S7: $450 of BB gift cards that I can use, so nets a S7 for $270. I loved Gear VR with my Note 7 (RIP) and notice the S7 looks better, since less screen door due to more dense pixels. I will happily trade some FOV for less screen door effect. Given the total price, I can use the S7 near exclusively for Gear VR and also as my backup phone
How has battery life and heat issues been since the Oculus update issue was fixed? I will mainly use for movies and also a few games.
