Gif capture on my Stylo 4 wont work

the button is greyed out and i cant use it. restarted the phone and all that.i was trying to use it one second, adjusting the box and i clicked record and it disappeared and it hasnt worked since. i cant find anything on the GIF feature, just the screenshot one. im hoping someone knows what is happening

It's a feture on LG Stylo 4 phones. It is in the pop pen list when you take the pen out. I'm having the same issue around the time this post was posted.
Edit: I found a fix, you have to use capture + to bypass it then click on gif. Once I made a new gif that way, I could use the gif capture button normally.

I have been battling this problem for weeks and searching the internet every day for an answer and no one had one. This is a huge annoying problem considering its probably the main reason someone would buy the phone but I'm pleased to say i have found the problem finally!!! Go into quickmemo+ in app settings. Delete the cache and storage. Yes you are going to most likely lose your memos but all penpop icons will work after this. Deleting just the cache will not work. Force stop, delete cache, delete storage ingo. Resolved. I hope this works for all of you as it did for me

Just go to the gallery make a gif of some random video and it'll come back on. If they don't all come back go into the corresponding app and use it. I stumbled across the fix by accident.

I simply whent to my drawing app which i have attached to my pop up menu once my pen is pulled out. I then drew a scrible and saved it when a whent to pop up menue the gif cap app was nolonger grey and now accessible. Wierd i know..
