Gingerbread and no service

Hi all I have tried searching for this and havent found anything. I updated my Infuse with a leaked GB rom. 2.3.5 and now every few days I can not get service. I can remove the battery and restart and no help. I need to do a factory reset to get it to work again. Went a whole day without service driving around and never got it. I was about to roll everything back to Froyo just so I wouldnt have to do this all of the time but Im not sure how to. Please any help would be great.

Just noticed that you said every few days. Does that mean that you have service of some days?

If so, flash a different modem:

Yes it might last a week may last a few days but then the dreaded no signal bar and can not getting to change unless I do a factory reset. Its a pain since I lose all of my stuff. Do those other ROMS install just like the gingerbread one that I installed?

Not a rom issue. Either APN or Modem.
