So I think quite a few of us have went ahead and installed the gingerbread leak onto our phones. (Can't wait for root) anyways I just wanted to know what some of you guys benchmark scores were. I just did a test and I got 1580. I saw someone in another post claim to have over 2k. Can't wait to hear u guys responses.

My tests are hit and miss. got 1000 once and just got 1800 so its pretty dependent on whats going on. I can't wait for root. I'll be clocked back at 1.4 ghz and then it'll be nice and snappy. Although I've read the battery life is very poor at the moment.

The best I could get was 1556...I'm used to upper 1700s on Rubix, so I was a little sad. If this thing gets rooted soon though, I am so there again. For now went back to Rubix. I loves my overclock.

I'm getting about 1660-1700 respectively. The teaser pics showed a score of 1800 lol, not that I was expecting the same numbers, heck my current scores are the best ive seen on stock blur.

Nenamark1 was at 27 fps. I was used to getting 21-23 on 2.2 so I see little improvement but anything is better than nothing. I didnt bother with neocore.

I get just over 1800. If you run it just after bootup the scores are very low. Wait for the system to fully turn on. Two tries and got a 1806 and 1803.

just did two tests got. 1623 on the 1st and 1796 on the 2nd. So seems to be hovering around the 1500-1800 mark with the bench mark tests. I can't wait for root so i can overlcock. lol. How long do u guys think it'll take until root comes around for us?

What's the point of overclocking if the phone is already fast?

Anyway, seems most of my test range from 1550-1800. I never knew Gingerbread would make so much of a difference. Goes to show that Google is really doing alot work beneath the surface to make Android more efficient. and to think, this isn't even a final build, its just a leak.

I'm a fan of overclocking for increased battery, I guess I should say undervolting. But now we have root and I'm not sure what over clock scripts will work. I used to use quick clock but its not ready for gingerbread yet. Anybody have a suggestion?

burn more battery, pretending you see improved performance, shortening the life of your device and causing system errors

Why post something like this. Your statements are far from true. I get more battery with being over clocked and low voltage. It speeds up the system a lot. I've had this done since it came out for the x and it still works great and no system errors. If over clocking is not for you that's fine but don't post stuff like this as it's not true.

Don't think I could've said it any better myself.

I (sorta) echo this. One area where I can easily see the difference of having a faster clock - besides the benchmarks, is Flash performance in the browser. Other than that, I personally struggled to see anything (significantly) beneficial to OC'ing. ULV profiles affect stability, and higher cycles will produce more heat, and do shorten the life of the phone's internals due to the added heat. If anything, I'd scale my phone backwards since 1200 is pretty much all that is needed for Android to make a WVGA or the FWVGA display found on the DX be zippy.

This was a big deal with the Droid 1, because that phone did leave a bit to be desired in terms of performance. I've used the INC, D2, and DX and I haven't really seen anything that improved my overall experience. Gives me a bigger benchmark, though. Maybe that's what is most important.

Higher benchmark scores mean we're more awesome! Or something. But yeah, I mostly undervolt to save battery life, but I do like to overclock to play some games. I mentioned in another thread, playing Dungeon Defenders (which is my go-to I'm-bored-and-in-the-waiting-room game) was SO smooth on overclocked Gingerbread.

In response to thread: after rooting/undervolting/overclocking to about 1.2 ghZ, been getting consistently over 2000 in Quadrant. Whatever that says about my awesomeness :p

I have been OC/UV to 1.2 and have been hitting constent 2150 with a high of 2493. I was getting 1400 to 1500 on the stock with OC/UV to 1.2. So that is a huge jump in my opinion. I am amazed at the overall speed of the rom. Google did a great job on this build.
